Monsoon Palace
Located at the summit of Bansdara Mountain, approximately 944 meters above sea level, is Monsoon Palace, also known as Sajjangarh Palace. It was built in 1883 by Maharana Sajjan Singh as a summer resort for the Mewar Kings. Seeing how the monsoon clouds develop is another important reason for its creation. Well-known for Luxurious Rajasthan Tours, this Monsoon Palace offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside, the Aravalli Mountains, and Lake Pichola because of its high location. Tourists also like Sajjangarh Palace’s sunsets. Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary is another area that surrounds the palace. These days, the forest department owns the land and welcomes visitors.
:- Fun fact – Octopussy, a James Bond film, was shot in the Monsoon Palace.

Stop over for Lunch
Enjoy your Lunch in the old town. If you like the rooftop eateries then Savage Garden (which is a top Edelweiss Café) and Café Boho, which are near the Jagdish Temple should be on your list.
Jagdish Temple
Lunchtime is the perfect time to visit Udaipur’s greatest temple, Jagdish Temple. Completing its construction in 1651, this Hindu temple has a breathtaking design. Along the exterior of the building are countless statues depicting elephants, horsemen, musicians, and dancers.
Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, this temple is said to possess healing properties from a marble slab. Pain relief is said to be achieved by rubbing your back, shoulders, or knees against it.
Ahar Cenotaphs Udaipur
Known colloquially as the Royal Cremation Grounds, the Ahar Cenotaphs are a location that is frequently disregarded while planning a trip to Udaipur. The quickest method to reach here is by rickshaw as these are 4 km (2.5 mi) away from the Jagdish Temple.
Small monuments that resemble tombs called cenotaphs were erected in memory of kings, queens, and other notable figures. Over 250 of these structures can be found at the Ahar Cenotaphs. Approximately 350 years ago, the Maharanas of Mewar constructed these stunning structures!
After meandering through the busy alleys of Udaipur’s ancient city, this is a great spot to take in some quiet time.
Saheliyon-ki-Bari
Saheliyon-ki-Bari, or the Garden of Maids in English, is the last visit of the day. It’s a charming garden 15 minutes by rickshaw from the Royal Cenotaphs.
The Mewar dynasty’s Rana Sanga created these gardens to provide the queen and the maidens with a tranquil escape from the bustle of the palace and the problems of politics. There are several fountains, a lotus pool, and marble elephants in this area. After a long day of seeing Udaipur, it’s the ideal spot to unwind.
City Palace
Proceeding to the City Palace is highly recommended during your vacation to Udaipur, especially after breakfast. Your breath will be taken away by its stunning blend of Mughal and Rajasthani architectural traditions.
Being the greatest royal structure in the state of Rajasthan, the City Palace was constructed in 1553. Following his relocation of the capital from Chittorgarh to Udaipur, Maharana Udai Singh II ordered its construction.
Admirable palaces, magnificent halls, exquisite mosaics, and a fascinating museum can all be found within.
Boat ride on Lake Pichola & Jag Mandir
Proceeding to the Lake Pichola Municipal Boat Ride Point, situated across from the City Palace, is the next step. From here you can go on a boat ride on Lake Pichola and stop at Jag Mandir, the palace in the middle of the lake that is now a hotel.
It is highly recommended to take a boat excursion in Udaipur, which offers breathtaking views of the city palace, the ghats, and the lake.

Lunch at Old Town
Sun & Moon Cafe, located in Udaipur’s old town and about 15 minutes walk from the City Palace, is a lovely spot for lunch. The rooftop here is said to be the tallest in the city. There’s no doubting the breathtaking view from their rooftop, yet I’m not sure if this is real.
Osian is the place to go if you’re itching for a real desert experience. Rajasthan is home to the historic town of Osain. Because of its temple, this oasis in the Thar Desert has been referred to as Rajasthan’s Khajuraho.
Famous for its finely carved Jain and Hindu temples, including Sachiya Mata Temple and Surya Temple, lies the Osian Desert. Apart from that, the desert functioned as a significant hub for trade along the Silk Road from the eighth to the twelfth centuries. One of the nicest things you can do here is to choose camel-safari.
Mansapurna Karni Mata Ropeway
You can walk or use a rickshaw to get to the Mansapurna Karni Mata Ropeway, which is approximately 1.5 kilometres (0.9 mi) from the old city.
The Sri Karni Mata Temple is located on Machhala Hill, which is reached by this cable car trip. It is worth going to this hilltop even though the temple isn’t all that impressive because of the breathtaking vista over Udaipur!
Be aware that after getting off the cable car, there are still stairs you must climb in order to reach the temple and viewpoint.

Dharohar Dance Show at Lok Dharohar Haveli
Evening in Udaipur, head to Lok Dharohar Haveli to see the Dharohar Dance Show. You may sample some traditional Rajasthani dances here, and they’re rather spectacular!
Puppet performances and Rajasthani ladies dancing while carrying many pots on their heads. It’s an amazing show that you won’t soon forget.
While there are ethnic Rajasthani dance performances in other Rajasthani places as well, the Udaipur show is reputed to be the most amazing, so make sure not to miss it!
