Trekking Mystical Glowing Forests

The luminous trees in the movie “Avatar” may have captivated you, but the Western Ghats of India are here to dispel any notion that such a sight was just imagined. The Western Ghats, which stretches 1,600 km along India’s western coast, are designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the eight biodiversity hotspots on the globe. The Western Ghats, on the other hand, are much more alluring mystically. The monsoon season, which lasts from June to October, brings with it an incredible and bizarre sight: the forests start to radiate highly.

Bioluminescent mushrooms, a natural wonder that turns the sodden jungles into a luminous, ethereal scene, are responsible for this enchanted illumination.
